What is High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)?Hifu is truly a remarkable breakthrough in technology, offering a truly non-invasive alternative to surgical lifting, a MUST have treatment option with the specific intent for improvement of lines and crape skin on the Neck (Includes Jawline), Decolletage (Upper Chest), Upper Arms (Bingo Wings), Upper and Lower Abdomen, Inner Thighs and Knees. Penetrating to depths only previously possible with surgery. Hifu uses the power of Ultrasound to safely lift and tighten skin. Ultrasound is a form of energy that is significantly different than light such as IPL and Lasers or Electrical (Radio-Frequency) energy. Hifu, protects the skin surface, whilst precisely penetrating at deeper depths and higher temperatures than Radio Frequency for example, treating beyond the Dermis and Foundation layers, where structural weakening starts. Tissue at the target point is heated to ~65°C, Thermal Heat is created with the skin tissue creating both spaced ‘wounds’ and cellular friction - which in turn promotes healing, immediately contracts collagen and stimulates a rapid production. Over the next 90-180 days, the wound-healing response stimulates long-term tissue and leads to further lifting and tightening, with results that can last years.
-
What are the benefits of HIFU?As a completely non-surgical, non-invasive procedure, High Intensity Focused Ultrasound offers patients many benefits over other procedures – Clinically Proven Safe and Effective Cost Effective Alternative to a Surgical Face Lift No Need for Anaesthesia or Sedation No Incisions or Risk of Infection No Downtime Comfortable and Painless Treatments Results can be seen after just one treatment Results can last for 2 years plus With the advantage of 2 depth cartridges (13mm and 8mm), Hifu has the capability of penetrating to depths only previously possible with surgery.

What is Profhilo?Profhilo is an injectable anti-ageing treatment made from hyaluronic acid for skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness with age. It can be used on the face, neck, decollete, arms, hands and knees, or any part of your body where the skin shows visible signs of ageing. There is an immediately noticeable improvement in skin tone, hydration as well as firmness, and lines are minimized. Hyaluronic acid is best known as a ‘filler’ and is usually used to give volume to lips or to contour other areas of the face. Profhilo differs from the usual fillers in a number of ways due to its structure which allows it to flow over an extended area to boost hydration and smooth or ‘remodel’ the skin.
-
How does Profhilo work?Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance produced in our body, found in skin, joints and other connective tissue. Its role is to retain moisture in the body and aid collagen production. It can hold 1000 times its weight in water which makes it ideal for binding moisture in the skin. With age, however, hyaluronic acid production slows and the skin looks duller and dehydrated, with fine lines and wrinkles forming. Profhilo contains one of the highest concentrations of stabilised hyaluronic acid on the market. Because it is thermally bonded and not chemically bonded it acts as a hydrator not a filler. It is injected just underneath the surface of the skin where it disperses quickly and reacts with your own tissue to instantly boost hydration

What is Aqualyx?Aqualyx is a safe, effective fat dissolving injection treatment that reduces fat cells in the treated area. It produces long lasting results, which means you can banish those annoyingly wobbly bits. Aqualyx dissolves the membranes of fat cells in the treated area. The fat cells become unstable and break open. The fatty acids contained within the cell are then eliminated by macrophages (part of the body’s immune system) and the liver. Popular areas that we treat are double chins, moobs, saddle bags, inner thighs, cankles and abdomen - including defining a six pack. Aqualyx is not suitable if you: * Have diabetes. * Have liver or kidney disease. * Have active skin problem in the area to be treated. * Are taking blood thinning medicine e.g warfarin.
-
How soon do you see results with Aqualyx? The number of Aqualyx treatments required varies depending on the size of the fatty deposit. Treatments are spaced at 6 weekly intervals. Your result will show 6 weeks after your final treatment which is when you will have a complimentary review with your practitioner.

What is a Chemical Peel?Glycolic acid peels slough off the surface and middle layers of skin, removing dead skin cells and debris. Since glycolic acid is made up of small molecules, it readily penetrates skin, removing the lipids that hold dead skin cells together. The percentage of glycolic acid contained in the peel determines how deeply it can penetrate the skin’s layers. Glycolic acid also loosens and lifts excess oil from hair follicle roots, which is why it’s often used to treat acne. It’s also thought to suppress the production of melanin, which may be why it’s beneficial for reducing dark spots. Glycolic acid peels are effective for removing blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples from skin. They also help to reduce pore size. Glycolic acid has been found to be effective for reducing the occurrence of ingrown hairs on the face and body. It also helps reduce the scarring caused by ingrown hairs.
-
Can a Chemical Peel help with Stretch Marks?Yes! Stretch marks often start out as red or purple (striae ruba). They tend to fade in color, turning white over time. Glycolic acid peels stimulate collagen production in the skin, and have been found to be effective for treating white stretch marks (striae alba).
-
Can a Chemical Peel help with Dark Spots?Yes! Trauma to the skin can result in producing excess melanin, which causes dark spots called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This type of trauma can result from a number of causes, including overuse of chemical products, acne, and eczema. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation presents as flat patches that are tan, brown, or black in color. This condition typically resolves completely after the application of 6 to 8 glycolic acid peels.

What is Microneedling?Microneedling increases the production of collagen and other healing factors by causing trauma to the skin. Collagen is an essential protein that helps keep the skin looking youthful, with a firm, smooth, and stretchy texture. Aging causes the decline of collagen in the skin, contributing to wrinkles and other signs of aging. Skin can also lose collagen due to injuries, such as acne scarring, stretch marks, or other scars. It is important to realise that microneedling is not a quick fix, as it involves the growth of new skin. It can take several months for a person to see the full results of the procedure.

What is LED Light Therapy?LED light therapy is a painless, relaxing, non-invasive skin-care treatment that has multiple benefits—particularly stimulating collagen and treating mild to moderate acne. LED treatments work by using an array of bright light-emitting that send low-level light energy into the deeper layers of the skin. Red light LED stimulates cellular activity, including the fibroblasts that produce collagen, which gives young skin its plump look. That helps minimize fine lines and wrinkles, treat sun-damage and stretch marks, and reduce redness after more aggressive IPL or laser treatments.

What is Radio Frequency (Skin Tightening)?Radio Frequency Skin Tightening is an aesthetic technique that uses radio frequency energy to heat tissue and stimulate subdermal collagen production to reduce the appearance of lined and loose skin. The technique induces tissue remodelling and production of new collagen and elastin. This functionality is often used after fat reduction to ensure any stretched skin that accommodated the old fatty deposit shrinks back to look tighter and firmer over the area that has been treated. The Radio Frequency part of the treatment is designed to clean up the content left in the body from the ultrasonic cavitation treatment. this is done by increasing the body temperature which causes capillary dilation enabling a faster, more efficient blood circulation, the vacuum then causes better blood to fat exchange, then the fat enriched blood is circulated and processed through your liver, which cleans your blood whilst removing the fat, Radio Frequency also has the ability shrinks loose skin and repair collagen / Elastin in the skin.
